Compressors are an essential part of a hobbyist’s tools. They can be quite handy for cleaning, inflating, or for any purpose that requires compressed air or water. There are good compressors in your local hardware shop but you can make your own using mostly scraps you already have lying around in your garage.
An old motor there, a compressor pump here, put in a belt, a receiver, and buy some of the other parts. Assemble them all in a nice frame and you will have yourself a fully functional air compressor. Want to know how? It’s time to get our hands dirty.
