Replacing the battery in cordless power tools is pocket-draining. But why still stick to the same old NiCad packs when you can just run your tools on cheaper lithium batteries? Yes, converting your battery to lithium packs is possible. You don’t even have to modify the original power tool.
All you need is a new set of 20V lithium packs, a charger, and an adapter. Unlike battery replacement, you can get these from any hardware store at a low cost.
When installing the new packs, which wires do you cut and connect? How do you disassemble the whole thing?
