Air cooled. You’ll “F” your motor quick on a hot day. Also, I’m a big fan of HONDA for small equipment, but I have had SUBARU on my generators for over 6 years with well over 1,000 + hrs. without a min. of down time.
He dropped it 10db by putting plywood around it. 80 to 70 is not 4X quieter.
-10 db is roughly 4x quieter.
Evert 3db is double or half. 6db would be 4 times quieter….. 9db would be 16 times and so on…
Db arent linear but logarithmic.
Haha. Block the air flow! When the motor seizes up it’ll be 100 times quieter!

buy a HONDA..
We take our generator when we go on week long horse rides. We take extra hay with us, and i make a 3 wall sound barrier. Can’t hardly hear it running.
