Trying to flatten a stubborn piece of metal is extremely frustrating if you don’t have a hydraulic press handy. Hydraulic presses are very strong presses that are used in metalworking for molding, blanking, punching and forming metal, and are usually pretty expensive.

Oh man, I have a 30 ton jack and two 4′ “I” beams. I’m gonna so make my own press. About the only reason I go to a machine shop is to bore cylinders and press bearings. Now I can press my own bearings!
