In today’s living situation in which natural disasters are inevitable and the cost of living is continuously rising, the idea of self-sufficiency is slowly rising. One of the basic necessities people can’t live without today is electricity. In the midst of a natural disaster or a major power outage, having this 5 gallon bucket hydroelectric power generator can be a huge advantage.

This video shows you how to make a 5-gallon bucket hydroelectric generator using materials you can readily buy in your nearest hardware store.

I don’t know why but they made it seem like you could do this with stuff from around the garage while a natural disaster is happening but I don’t know anyone with a mile of piping just laying around haha

I know it’s not possible right now but it would be cool if you could get these to run from the rain like the gutter down spouts. I know you would need a lot of rain for it to make any power and it still probably wouldn’t generate enough power to be useful. I’m just saying it’s a cool idea.
