A stirling engine is a type of machine that is similar to a steam engine, only that it doesn’t use steam to operate. For it to operate, it recycles, cools, and heats gas or air repeatedly and produces energy that can be used for powering machines. It’s been around since the year 1816 and replicating it may seem like a complicated task.
For this DIY project, you’ll be making a horizontal pop can stirling engine using a tin can and other affordable materials.
