How To Easily Convert 242 lb Of Aluminum Scrap Into Ingots.

Melting scrap aluminum into ingots (110kg or 242lb). Are you planning to sell those aluminum scraps in your backyard?  Don’t do that just yet, because you’re likely to sell it for nothing. What you can do is to melt them into ingots so that they’ll have more value for junk shops.

The video posted below shows the step-by-step instructions on how to do this. Many thanks to the video creator ‘MP Dragon’.

Great info but the terrible music keeps my phone buffering constantly. Would love more info on the Kiln. Don’t understand how he’s getting waste oil to burn so hot.

Other line is air from a compressor or bottle of oxygen

Music is obnoxious. Is this effort worth while for scrap prices or as a step in future raw material needs. I don’t know how to cast.

I am currently making a small one that uses charcoal I got the plans off of another Facebook post for the air blower with the small unit with the charcoal he used a hair dryer seems to work great for small sand casting and smell ingots
But I think I’m going to build a big one that uses propane I will use a blower off an old water heater I do not know if I will make ingots that big or not though I should be able to put in a standard Crucible to melt copper and brass as well

What a huge waste of time, money, and energy. Scrap worth the same price if you melt it down as it is not in ingots. This “idea” is moronic. I seen the same video on copper ingots. By the way, the kiln is $3000 and oxygen is $60 for a small bottle. Do the math.

I built my own kiln for less than 50 bucks works great. And use a blow dryer for air. So anyone dumb enough to pay 3000 needs their head examined.
