[Video] The Top-down Fire, Best Fire Technique With Least Smoke. Also Set It And Forget It.
The upside down fire or so call top-down fire, always uses split, dry firewood to make it easy to start.
Most people start fires in their fireplaces by burning at the bottom of the base. However, for a truly long lasting and effective fire, it’s best to actually start burning from the top.
It’s a cleaner burn with less smoke and better combustion, therefore, gives off higher efficiency of heat than the tipi-esque fire method. It also needs less tending, no chance the fire will collapse and smother itself. This is a fantastic technique for those of you who like to set it and forget it.
It generates minimal start-up smoke.
You should try this upside down fire technique in your stove, fireplace or next campfire because you will certainly like it.

What about when you reload your stove and the hot coals are on the bottom.
I know.. baffling ! Well since hot coals start at top & trickle to the bottom.. viola !! They’re already there now for your next fat stick (or log) 🙂
I could scoop out the hot coals before I reload and dump em on top of the splits. Hahaha!
You’re too smarty ! Lol
